Norman Palm who is stuck for another week in Mexico is able to spend some extra days with his girlfriend. Calexico are improving their boxing skills in our office and sleeping/eating with the boss and his family at his house until they will be able to fly back to the States.

Junip was formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in the late '90s by José Gonzalés (guitar, vocals), Elias Araya (drums) and Tobias

Junip was formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in the late '90s by José Gonzalés (guitar, vocals), Elias Araya (drums) and Tobias Winterkorn (organ, moog). Their first 7” came out in 2000 and they self-released the Black Refuge EP in 2006. RCRDLBL distributed the single "Chickens/"Azaleadalan" in 2009. Junip has periodically gathered together and recorded when schedules permitted, but this is the first time all the members will focus exclusively on the band. An EP and full-length will be released in 2010 on City Slang and global touring will commence this spring. The touring band will add two members, making it a five-piece.

Junip is now offering a first listen to their new music with a free download of the song “Rope and Summit” on their website.

Their sound can be familiar to those who have listened to Gonzalez’s critically acclaimed records, but added to the mix on top of his nylon stringed guitar and distinctive voice are organs, analog synths and drums. The songs are often dynamic, melodic and shadowy. The influences are far ranging from Neu! to Shuggie Otis all the way to John Martyn. But Junip does mostly sound like Junip.

It was only last week that HEALTH shocked the world with an absurdly amazing video for WE ARE WATER one of their standout

It was only last week that HEALTH shocked the world with an absurdly amazing video for WE ARE WATER one of their standout tracks of last years album GET COLOR,

(After 48 hours and about 40 000 hits it got got flagged on Youtube but you can still view it on VIMEO)

This week now, they open up an entirely new chapter in their history, a brand new, "spaced out" pop anthem named USA BOYS,

that they recorded especially for their sophomore Remix Project ::DISCO 2 " in LA.

This is very special indeed because here HEALTH don't exactly remix themthelves but reinvent their sonic mindset in accordance with the remix aesthetic.

USA Boys was mixed by infamous producer ALAN MOULDER, and yes, the beauty of this track is ultimately more shocking than a naked bald

guy running through the woods getting his head chopped off by a girl in a blond wig.
